This is a WBR Group Ride Event. Your co-operation and teamwork will be essential. No participant should ride off the front of the group. The event is designed as part of WBR’s package of #ProStyleTraining events to assist with the attainment of your training goals. We welcome good banter and aim to create a fun, social atmosphere for your training. WBR Climbing Series - what to expect:

Each week the climbing and duration of the rides will increase until we have completed 50,000m in virtual height* by the end of the series. For those of you not in the know, that’s what’s required to earn the ‘Tron” bike and everyone who graduates will get one. The series finale will involve a London PRL Full route, which is 173 km with 2,496m of climbing, but don’t worry, we will be building up gradually to this distance.
The sessions will be hard as each rider will be asked to work near to his threshold (or over) on the climbs. These will not be intervals, rather long hard efforts keeping the same pace for the whole climb.
We will attempt to ride as one group whenever possible, but for the climbs there will be two groups as follows:

Red Beacon Group - 2.8 to 3.5 w/kg
Yellow Beacon Group - 3.6 + w/kg

Base (flat) pace for both groups - 2.5 w/kg

*You will need to ride Thursday and one of the Saturday rides.
